 healthy, hydrated, glowing, skin
lovely floral petals + more shoe embellishments
these lucite shoes look like they are covered in icicles but most likely swarovski crystals
the lucite trend continues with big pink glasses
fashion and fantasy

Sugar scrub for the bath and body and a facial treatment for me in the salon keeping me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. More microdermabrasion inspiration from Cindy here. Enjoy the Spring inspiration, at Prada Atelier. I couldn't help but add this Prada Fall winter fashion show as well. The beautiful model above, Doutzen Kroes makes a catwalk appearance. Lots of great inspiration for fall with the beloved beehive in a headband and lots of models in different shapes, and sizes, and socks! More updo inspiration here

more black and updo inspiration

a little bit of fun at the end of the catwalk with Brigitte

Inspiration Jersey Shore? I first heard reference about it here, on The View,  I watched this MTV show for a few episodes but this one is too gtdl (gym, tan, and dirty laundry) for me!  "The Situation," giving pointers to Elisabeth Hasselbeck on how to do sit ups correctly (hey I was taking notes) More laughs from Nicole aka," Snooki," when asked "When did she know she was famous?" and her answer, "since birth." Good self esteem is never a bad thing. The beehive inspired updo is one of my personal favorite, Amy Winehouse  wore an over exaggerated one, Brigitte  too. Enjoy the images and let me know what you think. My favorite updo inspiration here

natural arts service + inspiration

Natures arts services is a new color service in the Salon using Koleston Perfect and Color Touch. Inspiration from Wella Trend Vision 2010, Nature's Goddess and Techno poetry images. Using slices, diagonal sections, different weaving techniques, combined with a smudge of natural color placement.
The result just the right balance of warm and expressive color.
love soft hair cuts like this, worn straight, or voluptous, accented with a fringe
collage inspiration of warmth and expressive cool tones to blend on this brunette

warm and subtle blonde

Wella Pure line of color, inspiration as seen here for blondes.
Not too matte and not too gold A blonde, balance of, cool and warmth.
Beautiful, healthy hair color, and luminous shine. Looking forward to sharing these new services in the Salon.

More inspiration add a service like, Touch of Gloss for added shine.

floral headbands + springy curls

how much is too big for a floral headband?

perfect for a spring soirre wedding
soft waves look best tosseled with fingers or with a little fluff from a brush
ballerina inspired poses, tulle skirts, and shoes like this make me want to dance too

These lovely floral and ribbon inspired headbands are so romantic and can do a lot for a bad hair day as seen here. I like the non-traditional vibe for a Spring Wedding as well. Maybe it's just Spring Fever lately that makes me want to think with reckless abandon about all the fabulous things to do with hair and texture and romantic curls like this. A flip of your curling iron spiraling in different directions about an inch or so away from the crown can give a more casual look. For added softness and stay a dab of Mousse Forte on dry hair before curling does the trick using a brush like this to soften into cascading waves.

la vida loca

love the dia de los muertos inspired image on her knee
wearing a whisper white, flowy, dress by the late Alexander McQueen
this dress is like a tapestry and blends right into her personal artwork
                                 sexy stiletto's, Dolce Gabanna
the hollywood script looks like it was written in red lipstick

Kat Von D was one of my first posts in my blogger beginning. She still inspires me as seen here. Before sobriety she once drank a bottle of vodka while MI VIDA LOCA was being tattooed on her back. . I know there are tons of other females with tattoo's I just think her story is impressive. Katherine Von Drachenberg by birth name, German and Latin descent. She grew up in Mexico, came to this country with English as a second language raised with a classical music back round, self taught tattoo artist and now rock star royalty with business at High Voltage Tattoo and the reality TV show LA. Ink, where you catch glimpses of Kat stenciling her magic. Love her make up line at Sephora, long lasting almost like a permanent tattoo of color while wearing. My favorite eye palette, Ludwig as in Beethoven, with a true mix of earth tones and warm neutrals and loved by even the most skeptical of make up artists. Kat Von D's most recent quest, journaling her tattoo experiences with feather quill on pen to paper in a soon to be released second book.

the meaning of kate moss

How can effortless hair with smudgy eyeliner look this good?
Little black dress with black patent pumps, simple, elegant, and sexy
Love the Christian Louboutin knee high boots
Bonjour Bella

I picked up this month's Bazaar magazine and was captivated by Kate Moss a la Brigitte Bardot. Striking even as she pins up her hair with pencil in mouth. I couldn't help but compare the cover photo to what's happening in hair now fresh from my Spring update here. These photos commemorative of her major exhibition coming in the spring of 2011 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. It has been written in the recent catalog for this event that Kate's eyes look in two different directions. It's a condition called strabismus. Brigitte Bardot had it, So did Marilyn Monroe another bombshell. I looked really close at these pictures to see if I could tell. What I see is her timeless beauty, her almond eyes with heavy stenciled eyeliner sexy, and smudgy, like it was made just for her. To get the look I found this make up artist's technique really helpful. For more Kate a la Brigitte inspiration click here

fearless femininity

Just came back from a Sebastian update,  The Collection; Velvet Vertico, voluminous, wearable haircuts like these shown. Full Frontal, a not so classic bob with an undercut edge, that can be styled in to a daring Mowawk Plume. Celestial Sphere, a shoulder length hair cut that is not your usual feathered friend weight is defined, and balanced with soft curves, think of an hourglass. Swinging Shapely, long, layers, with a lighter texture created with shears and softly skimming of the razor with soft bangs, swinging softly to the side. This season's collection inspiration comes from Fashion, as in this designer's classy clothes collection, feminine and girly with decadent flamboyance.  Design, objects that would normally be associated with the masculinity show femininity with a bling. To get the best of these weightless, voluminous, dramatic looks, start out with Volupt Shampoo and conditioner and Volupt Spray gel to define these disconnected haircuts as you style. For more support, Mousse Forte and Shaper Zero Gravity for waves, and curls, in curvaceous forms.
More great news to share, congratulations to Megan, you are the winner of this gift away posted here.
I am looking forward to hearing if it will be a touchdown for me in the giveaway posted today at Amber's Notebook.

natures seduction

Going over Wella's spring format for 2010, I was captivated by the name of one of the new hair color services we will be offering in the salon: Natural Arts Services, and from what I can see the color formula's are going to be so seductive with natural levels of highlighting on the hair in more than one tone. This particular formula works best on dark blondes and sun kissed brunettes with soft, earthy, warm, tones and a touch of burnished gold. The texture, perfectly imperfect finishes combined with layering for naturally voluminous feminine movement. Some new shades to balance and blend the already perfect color. I hope you enjoy the bit of inspiration from the lovely hair, more here and here.

Shear genius inspiration

I wonder if there is a vinyl record under that hair and net?
Green hair or lighting?
I love the boudoir feeling of thigh high's and heels with a corset and soft waves flowing and accents of pink even in her hair.
This kind of yellow is definitely a special blond mix or cellophane perhaps?
eyebrows whited out can be done with this pencil to match the  Lana Turner look
Va Va Voom a smokey eye and a pouty fuschia lip like Funny Face from Nars that certain skin tones like this can wear so well.
Black lips, stilettos, and a feathered fedora, very glam

A bit of inspiration in honor of Shear Genius 3.  I couldn't be more excited to see what host Jonathan Antin and Camilla Alves bring to the cutting table along with this years pick of international hairstylists.  Loved Shear Genius 2 as shown here.  A special shout out to this season's contestant, Janine Jarman, another talented Sebastian artist who will also be sharing her talent. Sebastian/Wella we are family.  Kim Vo last Season's judge will be returning and Orlando Pita one of my favorite celebrity hairdressers will be adding his expertise as previously shown here.
